1. Data controller
The operator of the website horoskop.sk (the “website”) is its owner and operator (the “controller”). For questions about data protection, contact us at info@horoskop.sk.
2. What personal data we process
The website does not require registration and does not directly collect personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, etc.). On each visit, the following technical and statistical data may be processed automatically:
- Truncated or pseudonymised IP address
- Browser type, version, and language settings
- Operating system and device type
- Pages visited and time spent on the site
- Referrer URL (which page you came from)
- Country derived from the IP address
This data is processed solely through third-party tools (Google Analytics and Google AdSense); the controller does not have access at an individually identifiable level.
3. Purpose and legal basis of processing
Personal data is processed for the following purposes:
- Traffic analysis—measuring visitor numbers, understanding how the site is used, and evaluating content performance to improve the website. Legal basis: legitimate interests of the controller under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
- Displaying advertising—showing ads through the Google AdSense network, which may be personalised based on interests and prior online activity. Legal basis: consent of the data subject under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
4. Recipients of personal data
Your data may be disclosed to the following processor:
- Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA)—via Google Analytics 4 and Google AdSense. Further information on Google’s processing: policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not share your personal data with other third parties unless required by applicable law or a decision of a competent authority.
5. Transfers to third countries
In connection with Google Analytics and Google AdSense, your data may be transferred to the United States. Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which the European Commission has recognised as providing adequate protection (decision of 10 July 2023). Transfers are further safeguarded by standard contractual clauses (SCCs) approved by the European Commission.
6. Retention period
Analytics data processed through Google Analytics 4 is retained for 14 months, after which it is automatically deleted from Google’s systems. Google AdSense advertising cookies are retained for the periods stated in our Cookie policy. The controller does not keep a copy of this data on its own servers.
7. Your rights as a data subject
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights vis-à-vis the controller:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)—to obtain confirmation as to whether we process your personal data and, if so, to obtain a copy.
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)—to request correction of inaccurate or completion of incomplete personal data.
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)—to request deletion of your personal data where the purpose no longer applies or you withdraw consent.
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)—to request suspension of processing in cases provided by law.
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)—to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR)—to object to processing based on the controller’s legitimate interests.
- Right to withdraw consent—where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.

8. Changes to this policy
The controller may update this policy to reflect changes in law or the website’s functionality. The current version with the last update date is always available on this page. We recommend checking it periodically.
